Warming Apple Saute

  • 2 tsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger (dried or fresh grated)
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 2-3 sliced apples
  • pinch salt
  • handful walnuts
  • side of ricotta cheese

Heat saute pan on low and add coconut oil until melted.  Add dried spices and stir.  Add sliced apples, salt, and cover.   Continue to stir and cook apples for 5+ minutes.  Add chopped walnuts, cover and cook for another 5 minutes.   Remove from pan and serve with a side of ricotta cheese.
