Lilia brought back this inspired recipe from India.
- 8 – 12 oz. fresh raw milk or non-dairy milk of choice
- ¼ -1/2 tsp whole fennel seed
- 1/8 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/8 tsp cardamom, crushed
- ½ tsp dried ground ginger or 2 slices of fresh ginger root
- honey to taste
Put milk in saucepan. Add all spices and heat gently without boiling. Keep on low simmer for 5-10 minutes. Strain out spices and sweeten spiced milk with honey as desired. Vary the spices as suits you.
