In case you missed the informative meeting held in August, you can find some helpful info here:

Please see Danielle’s article, Nutrient-Dense Lunches and Snacks To-Go, under the Articles Heading.  Also look for the recipes she shared in our Recipes section.

Meeting on Sunday, August 25, 2013, 3-5 pm

We will meet at the Hawthorne Valley School, Teaching Kitchen.  The school is located at 330 Rt 21C in Harlemville. (technically this is in the town of Hillsdale).

Danielle Sinclair-Whitby will give the highlights of  the Weston A Price Foundation (WAPF) booklet, Healthy4Life, which succinctly outlines the principles of a nutrient-dense diet, and provides recipes.  We will have some copies available.  She’s also helping us to make it practical, and will provide a list of pack-able snack and lunch options for children, for those times when you need food-to-go.   Danielle just completed the Nutritional TherapyPractitioner program, is a mom of 3, and lives at Hawthorne Valley Farm.  Feel free to bring a recipe or meal suggestion that is a favorite in your home (and even a sampling of it to share) …we all need inspiration!
We will also have time to exchange info/contacts about producers – local and distant.

All are welcome.

Come to the Friends of the Farmer event, July 19-20
